Want to add some hens to your homestead?
Each year we get a new flock of young laying hens and sell off the ones from the previous year. These hens are about 1 year old and have been feed organic feed and have had outdoor access their entire time with us. They’re a small breed called Novogens that lay large brown eggs. Since they’re small, they don’t guzzle down feed like other breeds and do well at just 0.25 lbs of feed per hen per day.
Laying hens are available for pick up 12-2 pm on these days while supply lasts:
- Sun, 5/18
- Sat, 5/24
- Sun, 5/24
To help give them a low-stress transition to their new home with you, we sell them in groups:
- 4 live hens = $65
- 10 live hens = $150
