About your teacher
Liz Howard grew up in Radford, but didn’t fall in love with pickling until she attended the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in Manhattan. She has pickled for half a dozen NYC establishments, including Brooklyn Brine. Liz’s passion for cooking and pickling drew her into sustainable agriculture which led her to Glade Road Growing. As a GRG farm crew member, she had access to the freshest seasonal produce, and she experimented with pickling everything from beet greens to apples. Nowadays, you can find Liz on her homestead in Dublin, typically munching on some pickled beets while hanging out with her dairy goats.
