Our 2024 main season share for Moog runs Tuesdays, June 4- Oct 29 (22 weeks).
Payroll deductions are available for employees.* Please fill out a Payroll Deduction Authorization Form and give to your local Human Resources Specialist.
This season we are planning on growing: tomatoes, lettuce, onions, peppers, cilantro, summer squash, garlic, carrots, cucumbers, basil, kale, spinach, eggplant, winter squash, beets, broccoli, dill, green onions, cabbage, Asian greens, collards, salad turnips, kohlrabi, parsley, potatoes, salad radishes, sweet potatoes, chard, arugula, beans, cauliflower, celery, fennel, leeks, celeriac, watermelon radish, perennial herbs, parsnips, peas, hot peppers, rutabagas, garlic scapes, and roasting turnips.
In addition to healthy produce, we also send out a recipe and veggie tips email each week. Our members are welcome to visit our farm for additional member benefits like free U-pick flowers, access to our kitchen equipment library and farm walks.
All our produce is certified naturally grown by us.
Option A) Main season bag share
*Small- $570 + $5.70 tax =$575.70 total
*Large $785 + $7.85 tax = $792.85 total
Our most popular option year after year, this is the farmer’s pick bag. Each Tuesday we, the farmers, select the bag’s contents based on a colorful and tasty variety of what is in season at Glade Road Growing.
Small bags typically contain about 6-7 different vegetables. Small shares are typically suitable for 1-2 adults and usually fill a plastic grocery bag.
Large bags typically contain about 8-11 different vegetables. Large shares are typically suitable for families that eat lots of vegetables. When we first get unique products in like tomatoes or sweet potatoes, our large share members get priority.
Option B) Farm debit card
Small share farm card $525; Large share farm card $700
Our farm debit card offers the most flexibility for those who want to select what veggies they get and which weeks they get them. Each week you can place your customized order through our online Farm Market by noon on Monday and we’ll deliver it to you at MOOG on Tuesday. Farm card credit can be used for our produce, meats, and eggs. When you order this option, you will be sent specific instructions and coupon code on how to place your online order.
Any unused credit at the end of the season can still be redeemed at our year-round on-farm market located at 2351 Glade Road.
Additional notes:
Delivery for this farm share is made to Moog’s Blacksburg Central and North locations. Deliveries will be made on Tuesdays by 12 noon to the Blacksburg locations.
Any Christiansburg employees who participate will have their deliveries picked up from the Central site and brought to Christiansburg before 4 pm.
You must pick up your bag by close of business each Tuesday or your bag will be forfeited. You will get a reminder email the week before the share starts with all the pick up details. You must be an employee of Moog for this option.

*The Main Season Bag Share is eligible to be paid via SNAP EBT. If you are a SNAP beneficiary paying with EBT and would like to sign up for the Main Season Bag Share you are eligible for a 50% discount through the Virginia Fresh Match Program. Payments will be due monthly at the start of the share. We will create a monthly invoice for EBT payments and come on-site to Moog monthly to run your card in-person. You will be contacted with more details after signing up. Feel free to email us with any questions beforehand.
