You’re invited for a pre-sunrise winter solstice walk here at the farm on Thursday, 12/21, the first day of winter.
We’ll meet at 6:30 am at the green farm gate and the end of the parking lot at 2351 Glade Road.
We’ll hike to the seldom-visited back potato hill where we’ll get a panoramic view to the east to watch the colors of the sunrise. Our back potato hill is about a half-mile cold walk, uphill on uneven terrain in dim light, but so worth it! We’ll have a toast of warm apple cider at the top.
This event is free and open to the public, but RSVP appreciated.
We’ll conclude around 7:45 am.
